Stefano Abbate is a progressive computer engineer and researcher at the National Research Council of Pisa. He has extensive experience in cultivating business relationships, working in a team environment and performing for optimum success.

From 2002 to 2008 he studied computer engineering at the University of Pisa and in 2012 he obtained his PhD in computer science and engineering at the IMT Institute for Advanced Studies Lucca, Italy. He performed part of his Research at the University of New Brunswick, Canada.

Stefano has a wide expertise in computer networking. He attended CISCO CCNA and CCNP courses during his university studies. As part of his PhD he is involved in the study and design of applications with sensor networks and mobile pervasive systems such as smartphones.

As computer engineer he has a wide experience in computer programming, operating systems and telecommunication. He has passion for continuous learning and education believing that knowledge brings satisfaction, empowerment and enhanced performance to business, people's lives and communities.
